Taking a 20-minute drive out of town to Museum of Ethnology (closed every Monday) which offers you a vivid picture of the miniaturized Vietnamese ethnic community’s life. There is an extensive collection from simple daily objects of fishing tools to prized items of jewelry. There is also an interesting outdoor area with ethnic long houses. Wind your way to Fine Arts Museum for an overview about entire history of Vietnamese fine arts through the collections and exhibitions. A small but stunning collection of fine arts arranged chronologically from the bronze age to the presence. End the day with a leisure walk around Hanoi Old Quarter to witness the bustling local life reflected through small crowded streets where people have been trading things for centuries. Stroll through the streets and choose to stop at any stalls specialized in handmade goods or simply enjoy local dishes if you wish.
